Breaking Barriers-**Off Beat**

This was an accomplishment or not-Idk. The point is that I did my best to bring all the school pals under one umbrella-They own the group now–so shall they run it there way!

Blogging has been great so far-my motivation behind every article has been undeterred till now. The reader base hasn’t become very large to be honest but you never know –the next morning might bring in 100 of them.

“The very joy behind coining every word of a piece is what helps me to move ahead-I try to take reviews of all kinds of people I know-forcing it upon them hasn’t been my forte, though in your initial phase of writing you have to do so. If they get back a step or so-I step down from the stairs with the optimism that a day shall bring them upstairs.”

The ongoing series-“Saga Of First Love” has done well so far! I shall inflict this pain upon me to start a new one.

A really ambitious project of mine-“ Being Indian” will be launched this New Year-Teaser and promos shall pour in as and when deemed perfect…

BREAKING BARRIERS

Every time I explore a new genre-I mention this. As a tradition I shall do it this time as well.

“Trial and Error is the shortest way to achieve perfection.”- Sameer

To begin with I might sound extremely stupid in doing so-reviewing a movie after 1 month of its release. And to be very frank who gives a damn to this piece!

Here is a twist in the plot though- I won’t be doing it the usual way!

**A brief mention of the entire story and then bringing out the subtleties which it has on offer**
“I have been an ardent fan of Bollywood and in the Indian context what our movies project (some of them) is pitch perfect to be related with and view it from my eyes-nuances of Badhaai Ho were more influential than its whole plot.”

Some points which as a viewer we should dwell upon:

Realize how there is a connection and disconnect at the same time. The two strata of people who live in the society are bifurcated in all sorts even when it doesn’t appear clearly . These people are mostly connected through there further generations- Nakul and Renne were the pillars of connection between two families in the first place.
The natural way of adjusting to the upper one’s mannerisms by the lower one’s is evident from the scene in which Nakul’s father considers English suitable for conversing with Renne. Isn’t this the scenario in every other Indian home?
“You talk in Hindi to upper-class and significant people (any of them-might be different for you due to different reasons) -they shall mark you down on this basis and this reluctance to speak our mother tongue still exists in the society. The hesitation to speak Hindi in front of some people on whom they want to leave a lasting impression!
Speaking and more importantly conversing in English is still a symbol of being superior to someone else and Hindi hasn’t been able to make its space in this invisible divide which exists in the minds of people.”

Basic Elements:

The story clearly brings out the relations which exist in a home where the in-laws stay with you. They may not be outwardly modern but sensible enough to understand things and make out what is right and what not. A stereo-typed and typical Indian “Saas” was what Surekha Sikri’s character was. She did complete justice to it-[it has been an inherent trait of her characters-Don’t you remember the character of “Dadi-Saa” from Balika Vadhu?] That’s where the whole plot becomes more relatable:
Sikri manages to do a great job in being rude and insensitive to Mother in the beginning but after realizing the attitude of people towards her in the latter phase-she is equally sensible and strict at the same time to take a stance for her “Bahu”.  This is what age and experience brings to people and this simple thing needs 120 odd minutes for a wholesome presentation. “CELEBRATE INDIAN CINEMA FOR THIS” {While criticizing it for other stupid and idiotic productions}
You can’t shed off your roots and become strong.”

When Nakul decides to take a stand for his family-his character is at its strongest best- the way he fights with school boys for it and the rehearsal for bullying his friend out in the open is something which may be a common trait of your character or maybe not-at the end of the day this ability resides within all of us-be it in a vocal or physical manner!

#MERA BAAP HI KAAFI HAI-is indeed a reflection of his ability to fight back for his family when things were not in place.

Making out small bits from a fancy paper is not a difficult task and I believe these many of them from this movie will suffice you. The take away from this post is the choice of readers..Take with you the strong opinion that Indian Cinema has the ability to do wonders-the viewers and critique fail to realize it in our context..lest take with you any of the points which this movie emphasizes on!

[Bahubali was a damn good entertainer and a work of grandeur and larger than life cinema-but movies like this are in true way a reflection of our own selves]

“INDIAN CINEMA IS THE REFLECTION OF OUR SOCIETY”

#Sahitya Samaaj Ka Darpan Hai!

Missing on the major issue which this movie talked about- I guess it would have been worthless to write about it {A lot has already been said and talked about}
