Reality Check##1 The Diverse Nation
Something
alarms me..
Something
terrifies me
Is this what we
were longing for?
Is this our
dreamland?
Hello Friends.
AS I said the blog would drift more
towards reality in the coming posts and this marks the beginning of this new
series. A lot of facts and data would be provided here with some sort of
personal remarks as well though these would pertain to the situation not the
central idea of this article.
##Recently
I joined an institute of eminence. Yaah..!! Eminent people with loads of dreams
and some hungry wolves who took
admission here just to make a girlfriend it
seems and we have been given much information about how to make one..!!!(Some
I repeat only Some)
So - Two
reports {entirely contrasting which gave me this central idea} and all that
happened in my hostel’s common room. SO a location fact I suppose.
Indians-Hindustanis preferably –A
diverse bunch with loads of talent and the zeal to fight every hard situation
with courage and perseverance. The very fact which makes us unique and a piece
apart from the rest of the world is the extremism we practice. Be it a match
between us and our neighbour, be it the arrest of Godman , be it the hug of
kaamdar with naamdar{RaGa and NaMo-make respectively yourself-up to you} or a simplistic issue in our daily lives::The
way we as Indians exercise the freedom of expression is simply amazing..This is
embibed in our constitution. But many other things as well—Do we really care
for them?? Watch the stats below:
Ø Supreme Court ordered a ban on the burning of crackers the previous
Diwali in Delhi keeping in view the alarming levels of pollution. Result: No
implementation: They were burned freely. ## KHULLA PATAKHE CHUDAAYE..!!
Ø Just a few days back in a petititon against mobocracy :The premium
judiciary centre gave a lot of guidelines to both state and central government..All
that could have been implemented in a short span of time but no result yet
again..
Ø This brings me to the central idea of our diverse nation::
Ø On one hand a post commenting about the lacklustre of Ajmer police
and the mob lynching incident which has been on the roll for quite some days
now and unless something really devastating happens no one is gonna care…
Ø ## Like giving a chocolate to a poor child on a road is not
allowed. You can be severely beaten up for that.
Ø Diversity: It is prevalent in our society. Check the other side of
the road::
Ø Alexa::What’s the capital of Australia?? Sydeny….. No its
Canberra!!
Ø Have you seen the advertisement which contains these lines
portraying the advances which artificial intelligence has made?? Things are not
that simple..The brain who is a co-creator of this stand out piece is an
Indian….
Ø Look this one out: Prasad, together
with his colleague Toni Reid who focuses on the consumer experience side, was
No. 15 on Recode’s list of 100 people in tech, business and media who mattered
in 2017. Jeff Bezos, Susan Fowler, Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook, Sundar Pichai,
Elon Musk and Satya Nadella were among the 14 people ahead of him. Recode said
Prasad and Reid had made Alexa a household name. { Source::Times news network}
And the latter two
contrasting ones were the post I was talking about in the beginning…..
Look things have
change. I don’t know for the better or for the worst but the diversity has
broadened. It’s like a bridge connecting two isolated parts of the world-both
different, careless about the other ones approach and undettered by their own.The
ones who are indulged in mobocracy here are completely unaware of the other
side. Our nation holds pride in people like Prasad who have made their mark at
the global level and have helmed the globalisation process
in a big big way… But dude are you kidding me??
That globalisation ought to brought laurels to
our country but if the lives of people in our
very own nation is not guaranteed for than what other thing is?? Do we
as Indian citizens understand the importance of this subtle fact?? Is that
double tick worth it?? Whats App is cool:: Oh that shitty nonsense that it
allows you to connect with other people but it is this which keeps us far away
from reality..
##Loaction fact: Here at this institute of eminence::
Most men and women are busy in there phones{
T.V. series and those social networking sites}. Socialisation in person
is mostly targeted towards some peculiar conversations: Those which I won’t disclose!
{ These small facts about this place are just one side.. The brains here are
awesome and the facilities and faculties have that panache. You will surely
find people who follow this:
SUCCESS KE PEECHE NAHI EXCELLENCE KE PEECHE BHAAGO, SUCCESS
JHAKKK MAAR KE TUMHAARE PEECHE AAYEGI…. }
Put in simple words::
There are two sides of this situation. One which is out in open for everyone’s
viewing and the other which only a few care to notice about. The other side
goes around like this:: When articles and reports on such incidents are written,
people who are aware of the sensitization which surrounds issues like these
bother to take a look at them and others who don’t get the realization when things
happen to them or to people who are near them.
Look around.. There is much more which happens
outside than in a T.V. series….
Look!! Those silly
ways of spreading awareness and telling people to keep a watch on this are
old-school methods. What one can simply do is just to be aware about this
himself/herself. Things have to be done in a controlled manner and the means to
beaware are in a plenty. You can always care about others but believe me today
except 5-10 people which constitue your circle—no one bothers about the rest. When
someone comments that Humanity is fast on vanishing in common lives it is
indeed true. Even before giving or taking lift from a stranger the second
thoughts which stop you are a result of these events..
So
enough of Gyaan for now This is just a brief picture of what this series shall
contain. Every new topic and issue will be talked about and the stats would
surely become less.. People don’t like reading them anyway..!!
##EDIT::I
started writing this on 24th July and the very next day a committee
was set up to look after these cases. So it seems the criteria for a big event
was fulfilled by the recent Ajmer case and the work had started. But why too
late ( Who said it’s never too late!!! Show him our sequence of events and the
person shall withdraw his words)…
And spare me for the
usage of there and there. I never bother to give a thought to it to be honest.
Just try to get along with a reading sense and I’ll try to use them properly
from the very next post…
And And And…!! A new story is about to start….!! I will give the
introduction of this genre with a fascinating
poetic piece… The next part of the previous one is in the making…
Taking your leave
